About Us We purchased our farm in Merville 8 years ago as a home for our five horses and quickly acquired goats and sheep (lots of natural fertilizer!) For the last two years we have concentrated on growing vegetables for sale and for use in our all natural - from scratch, bake @ home gourmet pizzas.
All our farming methods are sustainable and we are pesticide free. We are blessed with a large population of wild bees and have retained habitat for wildlife on our small farm. Except in very dry years our seasonal pond acts as a nursery for numerous native tree frogs.
Last year the addition of a greenhouse allowed us to grow more tomatoes, as well as, peppers and eggplants. We grow peas, beans, summer and winter squash, spinach, kale, chard, onions, garlic, carrots, beets, radishes, lettuce, rapini, herbs and more.
This year we have plans to add chickens to the mix so we can use our own free-range eggs in our baking. We are small producers but we grow what we think is delicious and our customers at our honour-system produce wagon and at the Comox Valley Farmers' Market agree.
